Vegan baby problems

This is just my short opinions, seeing as this would upset some on facebook I’ve decided to post it here on my personal blog and link you guys up to the informative article. I do not have a baby, I am not a vegan, I am not obese. I am not a professional on any of the above either- simply it concerns my research project in ISSS class in college and I’m pro-vegan.

Really, aren’t there bigger issues in the world? A mom chooses to feed her baby soy formula instead of “typical formula” and shes considered neglecting her baby. Bitch please. How about people who let their kids get obese or over weight (which increase their chances of getting chronic diseases and lowers their life expectancy) as a child that’s not an issue ? that’s not neglect ? I feel like people have nothing better to do with their time and waste it harassing others.

GMV: Fad Diet?

So Becoming vegetarian / vegan/ organic /GMO free or anything that can ultimately better your health is being label as a “fad diet” via people on the internet, or certain persons I’ve talked to have said “fad diet” in the same sentence as Veg/ organic/ GMO free.

Let me take a moment of my day to define a “fad diet” Using my ever so trusty Google page definitions :

–>A fad diet is a weight loss plan or aid that promises dramatic results. These diets typically don’t result in long-term weight loss and they are usually not very healthy. In fact, some of these diets can actually be dangerous to your health.

Hmm, I think those whom say that the above mentions is a fad diet are wrong, yep wrong and more or less ignorant. Because how is consuming mainly organic food a means of “extreme weight loss” or even GMO free. How is becoming vegetarian a diet that “promises dramatic results”, when I choose to become a vegetarian the only thing dramatic it promised me is that I would be saving animals lives and not eating carcasses any more. Lastly how is consuming pure natural foods from the earth closest to their natural state “dangerous to [my] heath”

I don’t know about you but I can tell you my reasoning to becoming Veterinarian/ vegan  are not of anything of a “fad diet” that’s for sure and if more and more people are doing it then the better! I personally choose this lifestyle (not fad diet) because it promotes health and longevity while being aware and conscious, I choose to eat a sustainable diet that doesn’t involve mass murder.

I’m sure ya’ll have opinions so lay them down in the comments! 🙂

Peace.

School – Last Semester

So this is my last semester technically. Why technially becasue I still will have two classes to do (french and french -_-)

But so far I love my classes,

Especially tourism, and fitness.

But theres issues with liking classes because then I want to major in all of them. And that’s pretty much impossible.

Like It started off with me  wanting to be a psychologist, to a fitness trainer(then I gained weight and that went out of the door) to now wanting to go into farming at Mac, and finally just a few hours ago I learned that I want to travel and amongst travel – ecotraveling and volunteer tourism.

But anyways big dreams, a lot of money, and ha no.

Now I’m really not sure of what I want to do.

Any advice?

Peace.

GMV: Friends

Ah, I’m still vegetarian and vegan at least 3 days of the week, it’s hard being around 100% meat eaters or exception-ists (as in people who mainly eat vegetarian but still consume meet once in a while, gravy, seafood, eggs)

But what is hard is that most of the people whom surround me are not vegan or vegetarians and i simply have accepted that, which ive noticed online people on vegan sites hate for example other vegans whom are different (i.e. high fat, low fat, 80/10/10, raw, raw till 4, frutarians) But personally i just don’t hate people (rather dislike two people of which i don’t even talk to) so below i came up with a list of people or things that surround me that aren’t vegan and that i have accepted this, and my ultimate goal is to find friendships that are vegan or vegetarian.

What I have accepted:

-My friends eat meat (except for 1, she eats a hot dog once a year though haha Kim 🙂 but is vegetarian)

-My boyfriend eats meat

-People I live with eat meat

-Coworkers eat meat

-No restaurants surve vegan meals in Huntingdon

What I can change:

– Find friends who are vegan and vegetarian and accept them into my circle of happiness

– only hopefully influence my boyfriend- can’t change him though. It is tough being two different people, living two different lifestyles and sharing an intimate relationship. my boyfriend has practically been the same guy for the last 4 years and me myself I’ve changed or reinvented myself at least 4 times in the last 4 years.

-Move into my own vegan home, where no harm is done to any animal

-Start out sourcing for far vegan restaurants in Montreal or just never eat out and save $$$$

and as for my coworkers (excluding k.) that really is not an issue it was just a point as to whom surrounds me that is not similar in lifestyles to me. I was simply just listing people, thus being i mean no offence to anyone whom eats meat i listed yous for example purposes.

Also a few other plans for when i have my own home. veggies and fruits EVERYWHERERERERERERESSSSSSSS 🙂

organic and eco-friendliness

positivity and happiness

fitness and yoga.

all in all better things for me, my soul, the environment, and for anyone around me. ( what do i mean for anyone around me ? you know when you walk down the street and the guy in front of you is smoking and you get a big lung full of his nasty second hand smoke ? well no one around me will suffer from my second hand smoke or chemicals or litter(because i don’t smoke and don’t litter and avoid using chemicals that are toxic) – i do pollute because i fart and drive a car haha- but most of the things i do and plan on doing will better earth in some way or form.

what have you done today to  better yourself or planet earth ?

do you think eating meat is killing ?

What do you agree or disagree with ?

lastly, have any advice fellow vegans/vegetarians ?

GMV: Steps

This little series covers my transitioning from everyday Canadian foodie to raw vegan. On this quest of a life style change I will enter through the easier vegetarian way and from there  I will soon transition into a Raw till 4 vegan.  Right now I’m a vegan- but still eat “boxed”  or ” processed” foods. This entry was written a few months ago but I am only posting it now and I had pre-assumed it would only take me 2 weeks per step but reality is it is a very slow transformation and is taking time and consistency and every so often I slip up and have ice cream. But I have been vegan for 5 days straight!!! 🙂

Step one:

– No red meat

Easy peasy, cutting out meat is not hard for me at all (just go watch Earthlings and it’d be easy for you too haha)

Step two:

-no Dairy

-No eggs

-No chicken

-No fish

NO ANIMAL BY PRODUCTS

Step three:

-No coffee

-No alcohol

-No “boxed food” unless organic

Step four

-Mostly Raw.

-Low fat

These are my three steps. Rough time frame is 2 weeks each. once completed then moving on to the next

Peace,

Please leave positivity only ❤

GMV: Radically

Doing things radically. now or never.

All out or in.

Here and now.

Hic et Nunc

That means the “oh Monday” thing, has got to end. Because if not this Monday then the next right ?

Peace.

P.S. I’ve been vegetarian for 3  months and June first I will start practicing Veganism to the fullest of my capabilities 🙂

GMV: Problems

I know I’ve taken a break from posting and y’all probably wondering what I’ve been up to regarding my health this is an older update. I will be posting a newer update soon enough 🙂

So what happen,

from March 20th-25th I was a pig, and did not workout.

Today (26 march it is changed i’m back on tract)

But from last week alone I gained 6 lbs, right so I’ve been mainly eating super healthy abundances of fruits, veggies, and working out. Last week I didn’t workout, I consumed high fat foods like pizza, tones of candy, cake, ice cream, Processed crap, I felt like crap I had a migraine for 3 days.

So a week off of the wagon really did suck, but it is all good now.  Because I’m back on tract 🙂

Go fruit yourself as freelee would say!

Forks over Knives

Is such a  great documentary,

but then again every documentary I watch is a good one haha.

This one relates to my ideology about meat & other animal products. Which are they are actually not that good for you, the calcium in milk which is “told to us day in and out” that it is good for us – but actually it leaches the calcium out of your bones. The cholesterol in all animal products can be deadly long term.

Another thing animal products are carcinogens which can lead and promote cancer growths.

And finally, every time you eat meat, bird, fish or a mammal you are killing, or supporting mass murder.   (hardcore tree huger sorry bros)  I’m not saying ” I hate you” or “we cant be friends” or “you are stupid” but what I am saying is this : Can you yourself go up to a cow Cut it’s throat open and drain it’s blood, then proceed to gut it and butcher it, then finally sit down and cook yourself a nice old steak ? I know I like steak – but personally I could never do those actions so WHY SHOULD I pay someone else to do it for me.  Since I feel like I cannot kill and will not kill – I personally believe that I shouldn’t pay someone to do it for me.

* This is just my personal thoughts and what I believe in, and I am not telling you my readers that this is the only way, I’m just stating my opinion on my way of life, do not what so ever be offended, and I would love to welcome your POSITIVE comments at the end of this post ❤

Anyways I’m not an expert and I’m not saying I know everything, But I’m’ saying I’ve been doing research and plan on taking a nutrient course soon. (There goes 1000$)  So that I can finally preach and say things being backed up by a paper.

Do you ever know things but people never believe because you lack a professional paper ?

peace.

Also my supper yummy soup recipe to come ❤

She cooks, I think :s

I’m not one to cook, mind you apparently if I put my mind to it I can.

Today I made my first ever soup, 100% vegan and it had some organic products in it. No added butter or oil, no added salt either.

I’ll let you guys know how it tastes and if it is good then I’ll blog my recipe 🙂

What is the difference between potassium and salt (sodium) ? does anyone know ?

Peace 🙂
