GMV: Fad Diet?

So Becoming vegetarian / vegan/ organic /GMO free or anything that can ultimately better your health is being label as a “fad diet” via people on the internet, or certain persons I’ve talked to have said “fad diet” in the same sentence as Veg/ organic/ GMO free.

Let me take a moment of my day to define a “fad diet” Using my ever so trusty Google page definitions :

–>A fad diet is a weight loss plan or aid that promises dramatic results. These diets typically don’t result in long-term weight loss and they are usually not very healthy. In fact, some of these diets can actually be dangerous to your health.

Hmm, I think those whom say that the above mentions is a fad diet are wrong, yep wrong and more or less ignorant. Because how is consuming mainly organic food a means of “extreme weight loss” or even GMO free. How is becoming vegetarian a diet that “promises dramatic results”, when I choose to become a vegetarian the only thing dramatic it promised me is that I would be saving animals lives and not eating carcasses any more. Lastly how is consuming pure natural foods from the earth closest to their natural state “dangerous to [my] heath”

I don’t know about you but I can tell you my reasoning to becoming Veterinarian/ vegan  are not of anything of a “fad diet” that’s for sure and if more and more people are doing it then the better! I personally choose this lifestyle (not fad diet) because it promotes health and longevity while being aware and conscious, I choose to eat a sustainable diet that doesn’t involve mass murder.

I’m sure ya’ll have opinions so lay them down in the comments! 🙂

Peace.

GMV: Steps

This little series covers my transitioning from everyday Canadian foodie to raw vegan. On this quest of a life style change I will enter through the easier vegetarian way and from there  I will soon transition into a Raw till 4 vegan.  Right now I’m a vegan- but still eat “boxed”  or ” processed” foods. This entry was written a few months ago but I am only posting it now and I had pre-assumed it would only take me 2 weeks per step but reality is it is a very slow transformation and is taking time and consistency and every so often I slip up and have ice cream. But I have been vegan for 5 days straight!!! 🙂

Step one:

– No red meat

Easy peasy, cutting out meat is not hard for me at all (just go watch Earthlings and it’d be easy for you too haha)

Step two:

-no Dairy

-No eggs

-No chicken

-No fish

NO ANIMAL BY PRODUCTS

Step three:

-No coffee

-No alcohol

-No “boxed food” unless organic

Step four

-Mostly Raw.

-Low fat

These are my three steps. Rough time frame is 2 weeks each. once completed then moving on to the next

Peace,

Please leave positivity only ❤

Things to do..

I have so many things I want to do, and this cold/sore throat/ is really holding my back and sucking all my energy away.

I’ve been wanting to do so much but all I do is sleep.

So today I said I have to do some of my things then once I’m done them I can take a nap.

So Today, I help edit my Bf’s Resume, Showered, and am now blogging (also worked am milking)

I still have a few other things I’d like to do before I lay down (if I even do)

I want to workout more!!!

I keep on jumping in between 3 lbs, and I can run 5km in 36 minutes (terrible I know eh) And I want to improve this time by % minutes before the months over! (But I’m bloody sick -_-)

I also should go see my aunt sometime, my dad and brother need a visit too.

Also Trying to keep RT4, OR HCLFRV as a lifestyle but it is hard.

But one thing I can say is that i’m still vegetarian and I love it 🙂

I wish saying no was so much more easier. I wish I could just walk a way, but I always give in. Especially to the bad things like chocolate and cupcakes and pizza. NOM.

Do you have any tricks or tips to make saying no easier?

Is being this sleepy normal ?

I need fitness/ health motivation! ?

Peace.

Girl meets Vegan; A diary series.

This little series covers my transitioning from everyday american / Canadian foodie to raw vegan. On this quest of a life style change I will enter through the easier vegitarian way.

“Raw veganism is a diet that combines the concepts of veganism and raw foodism. It excludes all food and products of animal origin, as well as food cooked at a temperature above 48 °C.” according to wikipidea

This is what I’m working towards, This is the first post in my journey. I started this journey March 1st.  As you’re reading this you are probably thinking wait that’s a month ago or so …

I wasn’t comfortable with posting this to my news feed right away. Only people I know personally know about my lifestyle changes.

So readers I ask you of two things,  Support and positive vibes.

Are you partaking in a “lifestyle” change ?

Peace.
