GMV: Friends

Ah, I’m still vegetarian and vegan at least 3 days of the week, it’s hard being around 100% meat eaters or exception-ists (as in people who mainly eat vegetarian but still consume meet once in a while, gravy, seafood, eggs)

But what is hard is that most of the people whom surround me are not vegan or vegetarians and i simply have accepted that, which ive noticed online people on vegan sites hate for example other vegans whom are different (i.e. high fat, low fat, 80/10/10, raw, raw till 4, frutarians) But personally i just don’t hate people (rather dislike two people of which i don’t even talk to) so below i came up with a list of people or things that surround me that aren’t vegan and that i have accepted this, and my ultimate goal is to find friendships that are vegan or vegetarian.

What I have accepted:

-My friends eat meat (except for 1, she eats a hot dog once a year though haha Kim 🙂 but is vegetarian)

-My boyfriend eats meat

-People I live with eat meat

-Coworkers eat meat

-No restaurants surve vegan meals in Huntingdon

What I can change:

– Find friends who are vegan and vegetarian and accept them into my circle of happiness

– only hopefully influence my boyfriend- can’t change him though. It is tough being two different people, living two different lifestyles and sharing an intimate relationship. my boyfriend has practically been the same guy for the last 4 years and me myself I’ve changed or reinvented myself at least 4 times in the last 4 years.

-Move into my own vegan home, where no harm is done to any animal

-Start out sourcing for far vegan restaurants in Montreal or just never eat out and save $$$$

and as for my coworkers (excluding k.) that really is not an issue it was just a point as to whom surrounds me that is not similar in lifestyles to me. I was simply just listing people, thus being i mean no offence to anyone whom eats meat i listed yous for example purposes.

Also a few other plans for when i have my own home. veggies and fruits EVERYWHERERERERERERESSSSSSSS 🙂

organic and eco-friendliness

positivity and happiness

fitness and yoga.

all in all better things for me, my soul, the environment, and for anyone around me. ( what do i mean for anyone around me ? you know when you walk down the street and the guy in front of you is smoking and you get a big lung full of his nasty second hand smoke ? well no one around me will suffer from my second hand smoke or chemicals or litter(because i don’t smoke and don’t litter and avoid using chemicals that are toxic) – i do pollute because i fart and drive a car haha- but most of the things i do and plan on doing will better earth in some way or form.

what have you done today to  better yourself or planet earth ?

do you think eating meat is killing ?

What do you agree or disagree with ?

lastly, have any advice fellow vegans/vegetarians ?

The To-Do List.

Yea We all have one,

Dinner Time.

Hii Darlings
So yesterday I had 4 people over for a pork tenderloin roast seasoned with honey sauce and garlic, mashed potatoes, mashed carrots mixed with mashed turn up, broccoli and five pepper gravy. My four guests were Olivia, Jessie, Grace and Kelly  Olivia was the first over and showed up with Creme a le Sucre and champagne. Then Kelly and Grace showed up with these AMAZING homemade buns. Finally an hour late my other guest/friend Jessie showed up with peanut butter cookies an hour late. But regardless it was great, everyone enjoyed the meal. It was great company, I had so much fun. I can’t wait to do it again, I wonder who will have the next get together ? Hmmm
At first I was a bit nervous, I have never had more than like 2 people over at a time. Therefore I had to SUPER clean my house. It was really clean 🙂 and organised and then my Boyfriend help me cook :] Everything turned out super awesome in the end.
For those of you who were interested in how I seasoned my Pork loin (which was about 2 feet long and about 8 inches high – super big!) I started with slits cut about an inch long into the fat across the top of the loin, I sliced garlic and just poked it in to the slits I had cut (about 3 cloves, sliced into about 4 pieces). The in a measuring cup I poured 2 table spoons of soya sauce + 1 table-spoon of brown sugar + 2 table spoons of honey all together and mixed them then based the pork in it.  cooked it for two hours with tin foil over it in a glass dish 🙂
Let me know if you guys try making the dish, it’s fantastic!
Peace.

Work ~ Play ~ Work again.

Hello pretty faces once again 🙂
So I haven’t blog for the last two days and it feels like weeks but I’ve been nonstop busy or exhausted (A lot of exhausted ~ haven’t even play video games 😦
My friend Jessie had her dinner party and it was just splendid. I brought Garlic bread which everyone ate up and can you guess what the main meal was ?!? Spaghetti 🙂
It was great, the sauce was magnificent and Emma one of Jessie’s good friend brought a unique salad which was as well good. AND don’t get me started on the dessert  YUM.
Overall I loved it and wish it could happen more than once a week *Nudge, nudge :)*
I made 2 new friends one being human and one being a super cute cow – cowwy – baby cow ?! Anywho her name is Jingles 🙂 and she was born on Christmas.
And me being me,  I found myself multiple times being dumbfounded, such as “Is this real milk, like cows milk.” Of course all milk is cows milk except for soy milk. But I just can’t get over how dumb that was of me, and it’s not like I didn’t know what milk is. What I think I meant was “Is this all natural milk straight from the cows tit ?” But of course me bring socially awkward and dyslexic and *Everything* you can name in the books; made me say the other thing. Embarrassing. I hate being awkward. Hate.
I was so happy to see everyone it really let off stress of work, but I did regret going to bed super late considering I’m having such a hard time keeping my eyes open right now and trying to type.  But overall I loved it, I wish I could have a party though nobody would be able to fit in my small house.
I find work is starting to get difficult, because I haven’t peeled a potato in over a month and of course when I can work I over work myself. (Not good but I will never learn, like this past summer.) My finger is swollen and my feet hurt and SOO MUCH OLD LADY PAINS. This is only my third day in a row, and I wanted to do 5! I can do it, Kinda-sorta. I just want to make sure I have enough money to start school.  I feel like this is the only time I can push myself before the limits of full time CEGEP student kick in.
Peace. *Hunched over while walking away from the computer going oweee*
